Baptism of the Holy Spirit (43rd Anniversary)

I received news of the new Pope being elected early this morning. While digesting the news, it dawned on me that the Pope was elected midnight Malaysian time (6pm, 8th May Italy) which is today, the 9th May. It happens to be the 43rd anniversary of the baptism of the Holy Spirit that I experienced at the 3pm prayer meeting at Clyde Street, a road at the side of the University of Canterbury, Christchurch.

I felt a power coming on me from head to toe and I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I prophesied for the first time, "We are more powerful than Moses". I said that several times over as I felt the Holy Spirit came down on me. That evening at about 6pm in my room, I started speaking in tongues, a gift which I practised until today, in prayers and in worship, singing in the Spirit. Apart from my encounter with Christ midnight 23rd April and early hours of 24th April morning, it was the most momentous event in my life and the third being God's call to full-time ministry a year later in early May 1983 in church where I had a series of visions leading to a vision that until today I am reluctant to describe, though I mentioned in broad terms what transpired in my recent book, "Anak Panah" (Arrow), my semi-autobiography in commemoration of my 30th anniversary in full-time service.

18 months ago, I preached in a congregation that I visited in my first year of full-time ministry early 1995, SIB Gansurai in Kota Belied District. The church was filled with 500 youths, 99% would not have heard me preach before and it was as if I was preaching to a new generation. After that meeting, I felt in my 30th year of my time in Pusat SIB as Treasurer (1996-1998), which is next year 2026, I want to visit some of those churches I preached in some 29 or 30 years ago. I have started in SIB Gansurai, and early next year I hope to visit Alutok, a church which I visited in July 1996 and the photo of my visit graced the covers of both "Departure Points" and "Anak Panah". From Alutok, I hope to visit another 50 churches or so out of the 120 churches I had preached in, hopefully by the time I reach 70 years old, I would have accomplished doing just that (50 churches) which means about 5 or 6 churches in a year (once in two months travelling is doable) until 2034 or 2035, by God's grace.
