Many will fall away (apostasy)

This is a generation of apostasy. Paul the apostle says in 2 Thes that there will be these two signs before Jesus’ coming. First, many will fall away and then the man of lawlessness will be revealed. The word “fall away” comes from the Greek word apostasia which in English is apostasy. Only true believers call fall away. If a person has never believed then he is not a believer in the first place. I see apostasy happening among Christians.
Less and less people attend Sunday service. Even among those who attend in their hearts they are turning away from the Lord. There is no hunger for spiritual things and leaders make it worse. Preachers preach weak or awful sermons. There is no knowledge in the land. My people will perish for the lack of knowledge, says the Lord. They are into worldly things and earthly pleasures. They marry and given in marriage. They build buildings and plant vineyards as in the days of old but suddenly the days of the Son of Man will be upon us. They are into entertainment and sports. They travel for 4 or 5 hours just to play sports but they never want to walk a mile to gain a soul. Many will fall away, says Paul. The only antidote is stay close to the Lord. Walk with me and be perfect, says the Lord to Abraham and to all followers of Christ today. Flee from idols and stay undefiled by the world.
