Leaders’ Retreat

Twenty six leaders confirmed their attendance with half of them not part of the Church Council of 15 leaders with two absentees as one deaconess was transfered to Keningau last month. It is only a 21-hour long retreat with dinner starting at 6pm after check in on Friday and we will end by 3pm on Saturday. Some of the leaders will have to return to church at 7.30pm Saturday for the Sunday service rehearsal.

I have managed to write up three sets of slides in the past two days, tbough I have been preparing for this retreat two months ago.

I was conflicted whether we should even go ahead but on Monday, we had a look at the retreat grounds and premises and it is on, God willing.

Leaders step out and step up and lead from the front. They are given authority to lead and finish the job. The vision is cast, if received begins the planning, and implementation of the vision.

There are three new events or programs that I shall be proposing next year with a mission trip in 2027 should I stay long enough.

Joseph intrepreted the dreams of Pharoah, and Joseph proposed the strategy on how to prepare for the future (famine) and when his plan was received by Pharoah, Joseph was duly invested the authority to carry out the vision and the plan.

He has been tested in Potiphar’s house and in prison managing tens, if not hundreds of personnel and now he is the ruler of Egypt and rose to the occasion to be the saviour of not just Egypt but the surrounding lands including his own family back in Canaan.

Joseph showed all the characteristics of a naturally gifted leader, adminstrator and manager and very few people today are endowed with such graces and gifts of leadership by the Lord.
