Good News from a Far Country

East and West Malaysia are separated by a vast ocean called the South China Sea. Shipment by ordinary shipping takes several weeks, sometimes over a month to cross the ocean, to port, to unload goods and clear customs. I might have spoken too soon. Just as I wrote the previous blog that for a fortnight, I had not heard from my printers and I did not even contact them so as not to rush them in anyway, late evening yesterday I received confirmation from my printers that my books would be ready by this afternoon (4th June 2026) and asked whether my former instructions about sending a few copies by courier still stood.

I replied immediately to the good news and I told them to go ahead with the courier as previously instructed, probably about 3 weeks ago. Patience is a virtue and I expect to receive the courier copies by early next week, Tuesday or Wednesday. I look forward to seeing and reading the first copies of my books first hand.

I am truly excited by the 2nd volume of the commentary on John 13-21, a culmination of 7 years in between and many tears and much hard work as pastor-lecturer-pastor (2020-2026) and soon I will have my 5th book in Malay and 8th overall. A few days ago, I had started on my 9th book as I intend to make sure the time while waiting for my next appointment is put to good use. Romans and Revelation are still a distant horizon, and only God knows whether I will have the energy to publish one more book.

This second volume on John 13-21 is especially precious, even as I wrote the second part from John 16-21 in just about 2 months, with editing and formatting another one month, I sensed the anointing strong and much was revealed to me during the commenting on the fourth Gospel, so much so I think a third of what I wrote in the book was something I did not understand until researching, and writing on it gave me more light and understanding of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
