New Tech 4 New Year

I am about set. This is my first blogspot using my new MacBook computer. I need to use it for two or three weeks to get familiarise with it, so I can get started writing my commentary on it by middle of February. It is already the final week of the first month. I need to get going and get working on my project. I dwell not on the past. The past is the past. At the end it is the Lord who judges as all of us will stand before the judgement seat of Christ at the last day.

"My judgement is with you O Lord" (Isaiah 49), though it might seem I have spent my strength for nought in the last one year and four months. Since September of 2024 I had stopped writing as by early October I had signed up with the current pastorate and had been thinking, planning and praying for this church 50 days before I started officially on 1st December 2024.

Now I am free from all that, not that I do not pray for the flock anymore. This morning I spent a bit of time praying for a few members that I felt needed prayers and support from their pastor, as long as I am still pastor, for another 4 more weeks.

My two trips are already set. One in July to Singapore and then spend several weeks in New Zealand, visiting my son and daughter-in-law and writing as well. The Lord has opened doors.

I do not feel the stress of shepherding and worse, not knowing or wondering whether something decided during meetings will go on or not. So much energy was wasted in talking to people who can't make up their minds or change on a whim. Unstable as water, there are just so many unprincipled men going about pretending to be leaders or shepherds of the flock.

Soon they will be found out just like justice was done in our State's AGM. My disqualification from standing as a candidate was a sore issue with many delegates. They said, "We have heard Tony preached in our churches, our members were blessed and we rejoiced. Tony has been among us for 30 years. Why are you persecuting him? What is his sin or transgressions? So when they did not receive satisfactory answers to their questions, they chose to vote for change. In the hope of better leadership who will shepherd with wisdom and justice like David did (Jeremiah 23).
