This is basically the verse the Lord gave at the end of the year which led to me moving on from my current pastorate and doing what I love best. Just yesterday I thought to myself that if I started now, it might take 10 years before I complete my three or four book projects in mind. So I better get started. There will be no immediate start as my last Sunday is on 22nd Feb (220226) and then I will take a week’s break before launching my writing once more, by God’s grace.
I told my wife that I shall be spending 10 hours in my study room, which I abandoned for 18 months since my taking up this offer of ministry last October 2024. By God’s timing is always perfect. I learned much about church life in the past 14 months.I learned much about human character. People can lie to your face. People can flatter you in front but stab you at the back. People can be two-faced and bercabang lidah. This is the end time, a brother betraying another. Everyone cares for his own interest and pride is their fill and they see not the works of God.
Whatever spirituality they profess is skin-deep because it brings no repentance, no change but constant lies and backstabbing. So I will not sow among thorns. No doubt there are many good people, but the few bad ones are enough to spoil everything.
So now I am eager to continue my commentary on John’s Gospel from 13-21 until finish, God willing. I may even write a second book at the same time. I feel I have so many ideas and insight like in the book of Ecclesiastes and also the Psalms. Surely God is good as I look forward to my writer’s residence scholarship for one month towards the late Spring in the southern hemisphere.
