A Vision: Sabah Earthquake

I had several visions over two days. It came in twos. The first vision came during my last rehearsal with the worship team. I was worshipping the Lord, and suddenly I saw a vision of angels. I saw the vision of angels a few times already and I thought the vision was just above me at church. Then after a minute or two as I worshipped, I saw another vision. This time I saw angels with banners and the map of Sabah drawn in red (Sabah’s borders were in red and the angels hovered over the West Coast where Kota Kinabalu and Kota Belud were located.

Yesterday morning I wept during worship and I was meditating on the visions I saw the night before and suddenly I saw a vision of three angels with banners planted in three places. In fact, I asked the Lord in the vision, why only three angels and what is the meaning of the banners?

And after a few minutes as I was still weeping, I saw the banners planted in three cities of the West Coast, Kota Belud, Kota Marudu and Pitas. And I asked the Lord why only three banners and only in these three towns but there was no answer.

After a while not in a vision, but reflecting on the series of visions I was thinking about what it meant for Sabah. I thought to myself, the red borders along the boundary of the State of Sabah may mean protection by Jesus’ blood. The banners I thought they were meant to signify God’s protection and I thought the Lord wanted to raise an army of His people here in Sabah.

As I was thinking about it, the worship was short just 20 minutes because of the Farewell service yesterday with 7 speeches in the order of service, but I thought the vision meant that I should pray for Kota Marudu and Pitas as they were hit by floods in the past three days with about 1,500 had to leave their homes and go to temporary shelters on higher ground.

Only this morning, I understood the meaning of my visions. Last night after 2 plus hours attending the farewell dinner at a steam boat dinner with four tables taken for those church members that could pay RM48.00 per person. I took my shower at 9.30pm and I went downstairs to watch a few videos on YouTube and I fell asleep at 10pm on the mattress in the living room.

Just before 1am, I was awakened and went upstairs to my bedroom. I did not think much about it, as I did not feel the earthquake at all, though I got up at the same time when the earthquake struck as I did glance at the clock before going upstairs.

I realised the three banners over Kota Belud, Kota Marudu and Pitas were meant as God’s protection as the epicentre is just off Kota Belud to the sea about 50kms. If the 6.8 earthquake hits near the surface it will cause major ruptures and even a tsunami.
