I was afraid that it might not go well or it will take days and weeks to settle into writing or continuing with my commentary on John's Gospel. But happily I am at almost full speed with five pages written in the past one and a half days and there will be more today and tomorrow. So much so I prayed just now that the miracle of Nehemiah would also happen to me, to finish my book in 52 days like Nehemiah and the Judeans who built the wall of Jerusalem in less than 2 months. That would be a miracle.
With editing in April, I might seek to have it published by May and by June the book will be out for sale. That would be a miracle and there is nothing impossible with God.I am gladdened that once I took the decision to quit, things began to happen. Sometimes God wants us to step out in faith, and not wait for things to clear up. By faith, Abraham obeyed and went out into a place that he knew not where.
I am glad that now I could focus on writing and after John's Gospel there are at least two more book projects. I don't mind if I considered myself a writer, a full-time ministry, though 99% of my church members would think I am either unemployed or under utilised.
In fact, to look at it objectively who in Malaysia can write books in Malay armed with a PhD? And the Malay speaking church is certainly the largest segment of Christians in the whole of Malaysia if we include our other East Malaysian brethren, the Sarawakians. For sure, as the Lord leads I will promote my books in Sarawak as well as Indonesia one day. To God be the glory.
