I just realised that I had gone past 20 years in blogging. I started middle of May 2006 in my first pastorate and three months ago I concluded my fourth pastorate. It’s been quite a ride. I stopped blogging for a whole year, perhaps when I turned 70 I will say why, but since returning as Revelation is Real 2.0 it is now in the 14th year since 2012.
In fact several times I wanted to cease blogging altogether as my readership dropped considerably for a number of years when I could hardly garner 50 readers a day. The version 1.0 averaged almost 300 readers per day when I stopped in June 2021. But exactly a year ago when I preached about the harvest of nations during the Harvest Festival Sunday service I noticed that from that month onwards I had reached more than 300 readers a day, sometimes close to 1,000 people would visit my blog.I was also surprised that many countries which never registered as readers began to visit and for a year now I have several Latin America, and now African nations. I thank the LORD for extending the reach of my blog and my aim for each blogpost is a verse from Scripture or a spiritual principle in the life and ministry of God’s people.
I do pray that especially for full time workers who read are blessed as I share my joys and sorrows, my triumphs and disappointments in ministry in a way that is not personal, in order that I might win those who oppose or hate God’s servants. There are many naysayers, and those who want to pull down another. It is better to build up and better to encourage and if we are not sure of the facts it is best to stay silent on another person’s ministry lest we come under judgement.
