Sometimes most of us have said to ourselves that we needed a Plan B just in case Plan A did not work out. Sometimes Plan A looks a certainty and there is no need for a Plan B, but in this world the only thing is certain is uncertainty. I was reading my book “Anak Panah” which I wrote a year ago and about my University plans, I was pretty certain that I was to remain in Australia as I was offered a place at Monash due to my above average grades in English, Physics, Chemistry, Pure Maths and Applied Maths.
But at the end Plan B worked out. A few months before my Form 6 or Year 12 exams (VHSC) I was reading a magazine at Ringwood library in Melbourne. There was an applicaton form for NZ’s universities and I did not why I filled out the form and put my first choice as “Law” while my first choice for Monash was Accountancy followed by Engineering as my 2nd choice. I was certain Plan A was going to work out. But the Lord closed all doors to return to Australia after my one year stay as an AFS exchange student. For almost two months back in Malaysia, I was listless and aimless totally did not what to do until mid Feb 1982 when I received a telegram from NZ that I was accepted into Law at Canterbury University in Christchurch. On my 55th day of me being in Christchurch I was saved by Jesus Christ by His appearance to me in my bedroom at Ilam Flats.
