Surely God is good to those who fear Him. He is near to those who call upon Him. I called on the Lord and He answered me. If you asked me on my last Sunday as pastor on 22nd Feb 2026, how I would go with my book project I would probably say ‘give me 6 months and I will let you know”. But God is good. I prayed a prayer like Nehemiah, asking God to give me not only wisdom but also speed and in less than 2 months I had written 120 pages, as I continued with John 16 at about page 80.
And I took a long break in middle of March until 5th April due to ministry and illness. So I must have written about 52 days in all, the time Nehemiah and his team took to build the walls of Jerusalem. As Nehemiah worked night and day I did likewise as I found writing at 4am after one hour of devotion at 3am, the best time to write in peace and quietness. So in a few days’ time, I would consider this book project complete as I wait for my proof reader to return my manuscript. God is good. With modern tech, at least two laptops and a tablet, I could write and edit anytime and anywhere. So I hope after Labour Day, I could start to write a new book. I am not sure which biblical book will interest me, but it is likely to be Romans.
