Waiting is a Virtue

In the last couple of days, I have been patiently waiting for my proofreader to return the manuscript to me so that I could make final corrections and have it sent to my printers. I hope and pray everything gets done by end of the month and by middle of June, I should know when my books will reach me since my printers are based in Kuala Lumpur and shipping (by sea) takes time, minimum three weeks to five weeks. I have done three of my books with the same printers and this will be my fourth book with them.

But waiting is a virtue as I have read my own book probably 10 times by now, so I want to move on to do something else. I am not sure whether I am in the mood or the right frame of mind to write another book because it has been a hectic two months plus, since 4 or 5th February when I restarted my writing after 15 months of pastoral work without writing a single page.

In my experience I can't do something part-time. All my study at tertiary level was done full-time, from my LLB to PhD in Biblical Studies. When I worked I worked full time. When I pastor I pastor full-time, and I see the fruits thereof when one gives his best and his all to his work or writing full-time.

Full-time writing in the past couple of months is going to result in another book being published, though I had written for two months (Sept-Oct 2024) from John 13 to 16 and continued with the last few verses of John 16 until end of John 21 with a 7-page long appendix explaining the meaning of the number, 153.

There are many new things in my forthcoming book, even in English some of the interpretations I made could not be found anywhere. Who is Jesus referring to when He said, "I have made Your name known" twice (John 17:6, 26) and also "I will make it known (in the future)". Hence, my John 17 has about 33 pages of heavy writing, with various OT passages explained when God (Yahweh) revealed himself to Moses in Exod 33 and 34 as key passages to understand what Jesus meant by revealing God's Name to the world.
