Writing Resumes

I give You thanks, O Lord for you have healed me and given me life. After nearly a month of hiatus, today I began revising my manuscript from John 13 onwards. I have written about 180 pages and I am re-reading and revising my first draft. I will take it easy having learned nothing much could be gained by speed or haste. I will meditatively read the text and whatever needed change or revision, I will do so.

I will not put a deadline as I plan to do this with the care needed for one great commentary on John's Gospel in the Malay language. Even if I do not add much, the whole commentary will be at least 410 pages with the first volume of 233 pages long. I will keep the second edition volume 2 below 200 pages to keep the costs low, though there are several essays I need to write at the end.

John's Gospel is the theological gospel. It is the spiritual gospel. It is a gospel about Jesus, the Son of God and the Father, who Jesus proclaims. Writing about God is serious business. Unless the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, we remain in the darkness of our ignorance, more so if we speak about God. It is to whom the Son chooses to reveal who will know the truth. May God's grace be multiplied as I spend the next several weeks going through the manuscript and revising it in view of publication later in the year, by God's grace.
