Going Global

Even our denomination's theme for the next three years is about going global. But I had gone global since 2006, when I started blogging as a pastor/scholar and by the 2nd year, it reached about 200-300 readers per day which was incredible. Then in Singapore, I stopped blogging for one year and restarted in 2012. For the first few years of version 2 Revelation is Real, readers were low with less than 100 per day, sometimes just hovering around 50 per day. But in the last couple of years, readership took off again, and I noticed a real spike last May during the Harvest Festival in Sabah and I spoke about reaching nations and nations are being reaped for Christ.

I never thought it would exceed 300 readers a day but there were times it reached 500 or 600 per day consistently. And yesterday on my 44th anniversary in Christ, I supposed the Lord knew how to keep my spirits high, I rose up early, sometimes way too early and kept re-reading my manuscript, perfected over 14 different PDFs which means probably almost 14 times rereading chapters of the book that I wrote.

Then, I saw readership exceeded 1,000 per day and for the month of April, it had exceeded 30,000 already, way beyond my wildest expectations. It has reached all continents, Africa, Middle East and Latin America. It's gone global. The brand has gone global.

Less than a year ago when I was preparing for an End-time seminar, I found out that my book on Revelation (my revised PhD thesis published by T & T Clark) is available in about 50 countries in more than 1,400 libraries worldwide. It's gone global.

Surprisingly, I found out that my Departure Points is available at the Harvard University Library. But in Sabah, I live on the sides, on the margins. Tomorrow I shall be travelling for 90 mins to a village. It is another 15 minutes from Kota Belud which is about 1 hour 15 minutes' drive from my place. But it is quiet here. No wonder it is said, "a prophet is not without honour except in his own household, among his relatives and in his own country." All four Gospels recorded Jesus saying something of that effect.
